PVA RECOVERY

Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) is widely used prior to the weaving process to improve loom efficiencies. In sizing bath, yarn PVA is used for improving strength of the fiber prior to weaving operation. Excess PVA from fiber is removed in de-sizing bath.

Existing conventional methods feed the entire effluent load in the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and hence incur huge capital and operational costs for waste management systems.

In the advanced INDION UF specialty membrane system, the effluent from de-sizing bath is treated with the help of UF membrane system for concentration & reusing PVA from 1 to 1.5% to 8 to 11%. Valuable recovered PVA can be used in de-sizing bath or used as a binder in paper manufacturing plant.

The INDION UF specialty membrane system reduces load on Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) resulting in saving of ETP cost.
